Vamos Adelante always welcomes financial support and other donations. The Foundation has very little overhead thus your entire donation goes to work to help the less fortunate in Guatemala.
Cash donations
As the standard of living in Guatemala is considerably lower than in the developed world a few dollars can become a substantial donation. For example:
- $125 pays for a house of corrugated tin built by its occupants
- $25 can provide a mother and her six children with staple food and household items for a month
- $1000 can buy shoes or boots for a small village thus reducing exposure to parasites
Monetary donations are needed for the following:
- School materials
- Food
- Beds
- Medicine
- Blankets
- Wood-saving cooking stoves

- Medical care
- Clothing

We are also always looking for sponsors for a few very poor families, usually single women and five or more children. Sponsors contribute a monthly amount of about $25 to providing these families with basic food and household items.
While there are no credit card arrangements at this time personal checks drawn on U.S. banks are acceptable. If you would like to assist with a particular project please include a note indicating your preference. Please also include your email address as, due to the unreliable post in Guatemala, donations will be acknowledged by email. Your cancelled check or copy of your check should be kept for your tax records. Checks should be sent to:
